Fresh air
I took yesterday off drove to Windsor and enjoyed a wonderful day walking round the castle and soaking up the atmosphere. A complete break from the day to day, lots of fresh air and only a little rain. I absolutely loved it. Mixed in with 2021's goals were also some personal goals like visiting all the wonderful places I have seen throughout my working life of always being 'too busy'. It's easy to feel that you need to stay glued to your office chair 24 hours a day when you work for yourself, forgetting it's you who calls the shots....
Crutches and Castles
A second family member on crutches in 4 months. No sooner had my son returned to work after his ACL op and my husband is in having a nasty leg straightening op. It's a slow recovery. I'm spending my days sat with headphones in listening to and glancing over at all sorts of documentaries and make over programmes of all sorts, while I work away. Making endless cups of tea and coffee, lunches, dog walks and general 'are you ok?' I shout from my desk. Quite a bit of design work on and the completion of a few projects with a...
10.30 pm
What better time to write a new blog post? while I'm waiting online for a Shopify expert. I'm really enjoying the new design work I'm getting in, I absolutely love creating logo's and coming up with colour schemes, whether from scratch or based on a clients ideas. Although I love colour and cuteness, I also like bold and dynamic and traditional, I'm not a one trick pony! But give me colour any day. The...
Hoodwinked
A few weeks ago I got a call from Michelle Kent, PT and Sports Massage Therapist. I stupidly thought she was going to ask me about her new re-brand, which she did in the end, but began by asking if I'd return to her Wednesday morning circuit training class, caught totally unawares of course I replied 'yes.' Without a minute to think, I just thought... 'well I really need to go' hence my reply. Michelle then went on to say she was ready to pick up from where we left off last year having started her re-brand from Kent Country...
Dressed for the part
I'm not sat in my running leggings and a sweatshirt today, I am fully kitted out in a smart blouse and grey loose trousers, hair blow dried (it always is but but I spent more time on it this morning). New smart Veja trainers, I'd love a neon pair (note to self), make up, the lot. Working from home for me is all about structure, commitment, discipline and being organised. I found it challenging over Easter with my daughter home from school, husband off on holiday and my son who is convalescing after a knee op. Although I've got through...
